Our Harvest Service will be on 22nd September. Dry goods and tins will be collected for the Food Bank. We are hoping to be joined by the Uniform Groups for the service and it will be followed by lunch. In the afternoon, apple pressing will take place in the orchard. It was very successful last year so collect all your apples if you have any and enjoy some fresh apple juice or why not ask your neighbour's to join us.
It’s going to be a BIG celebration, the 40th anniversary of the Church and Centre. Put the date in your diary, the weekend of the 26th/27th of October, pass the word around. In the meantime, please think of ways you can help to make the weekend a memorable one. We need photos, leaflets, any memorabilia for our display. There’s sure to be plenty of interesting material we can use so please have a good look at home. On the Saturday, from 10 am to 3 pm, the centre will be busy with activities, displays, treasure hunt, children’s workshops and we will bury a time capsule. A celebration Cake and refreshments will be available, all free.
There will be a Community Anniversary Service on the Sunday morning at 10.30 am and Rev
Helen Kirk, the chair of the Methodist District will lead worship and we are hoping that the Lord
Mayor will join us. Help will also be needed during both days so please consider what time you can
offer, maybe an hour on either day, to chat to visitors, serve tea/coffee or clear away afterwards.

The church here is a partnership between the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, representing both traditions but worshiping and working together as one congregation. As well as our Sunday services the Church offers activities for all ages through the week.
The Church also works in partnership with Great Boughton Parish Council. We jointly own and manage the building with the Council to provide community centre facilities for the area, and a wide variety of groups meet here.
Whatever your reason for coming to Caldy Valley Church and Centre, you will be made very welcome.
